Narration & Immersive City-Interior | SZE TO Ka Ming

Year Three | Studio V
Hong Kong’s Critical Urban Topographies & Morphologies - Narration and the Immersive City-Interior

Tutor: Gerhard Bruyns

SZE TO Ka Ming, Janet
The course focuses on topical issues taken from research questions pertaining to urban scenarios that produces a complex variety of laminated or layered interiors. Through the foundational and technical knowledge gained in semester one, semester two will use a particular focus to help frame the city in terms of spatial narratives.

Project builds on the previous semester and its questions concerning interior complex modelling. Year 3 has thus far looked at the examination of ‘interiority’ of the city, through foundational knowledge within the realms of spatial tectonics, user experiences and spatial complexity. That is to say; how various spatial elements and conditions brought together into a uniformed and technical synthesis. Students are hoped to extend these capabilities to include new forms and types of spatial production and the design of the interior.
